FVR visits Bangkok









Last July as the Hello Garci news was just starting to sweep Manila, former President Ramos visited Bangkok to attend an internation conference. He found time to give a talk to some of the members of the Filipino community in Bangkok. I recall him asking us to pay more attention to finding ways in helping our country. I fondly remember his presidency as the best that the Philippines had through its history. I also remember the time he visited Bangkok while he was still president. He made arrangements to see as many Filipinos as possible by arranging a reception at the Oriental Hotel. To my recollection, not other president bothered to do this, not even the current one.
